| Long description: | We are seeking energetic interns able to devote a minimum of two full days per week to join our team at a growing luxury travel PR firm.
During this internship, students will:
-Be exposed to many different facets of PR through constant interaction with agency's Managing Director, Senior Media Specialists and Account Executive; this includes, but is not limited to: media relations, corporate PR; intern will learn how each type of PR interacts to shape a company's media image
-Develop a deeper understanding of how American media operates
-Acquire and hone strategic development and research skills necessary for drafting proposals and PR plans
-Become familiar with daily operations of a PR firm and learn how to be part of a fast-paced team
The above will be reached through training, development, constant feedback and participation in a variety of media relations related tasks such as:
-Campaign research
-Pitch development
-Media monitoring
-Database maintenance
Potential exists to take on increased responsibilities as reflective of the intern's progress.
Job Qualifications
-Junior or senior
-Eagerness to learn anything and everything about NY media environment and PR
-Acute attention to detail and top-notch organizational skills
-Team player
-Interest in travel a huge plus!
